Ashbourne-Donaghmore Parish Open First Columbarium in Meath
Friday, June 10th 2016

Fr. Derek recently consecrated the first columbarium in County Meath during the annual cemetery prayers and devotions. A columbarium is a place for the respectful interment of loved ones’ cremated remains. The word ‘columbarium’ originates from the Latin Columba, meaning dove, a symbol for peace and rest. May the loved ones whose remains we inter in the columbarium find peace in the Lord’s loving embrace. Thank you to Richard Swan, ‘Swan Memorials’ for his craftsmanship in designing and erecting the columbarium to such a high standard.
