mary & childrenMost Holy Trinity I believe in You, I hope in You and I love you.  I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not hope and do not love You, the One and True God.

Lord Jesus, before You left Mary, Your Apostles and disciples on Mount Olivet at Your Ascension into Heaven, You told them to go out to the whole world and proclaim the Gospel baptising those who would believe, in the Name of The Father, and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit.  Through Mary’s intercession we ask to be re-clothed in the power of Your Holy Spirit this Pentecost so that together with all Christians in secularised cultures, we may be ready to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of the world.

Lord Jesus, You told us You ascended to Heaven to prepare a place for each of us.  Hear our prayer for those who have died tragically as the result of natural disasters, war and famine.  Grant them the joy of Heaven.  Help us to reject the culture of indifference and fatigue in the face of our neighbours’ need and to open our hearts to reach out to all especially those who are sick or poor.  Help us to realise that truth that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Lady of Fatima, you chose three poor little children in an obscure village to speak your message of conversion, prayer and penance to a world in need of profound renewal, hear our prayer especially for children.  Through your motherly concern grant that children everywhere may be loved, protected and cherished.  Gather under your mantle the little children who will receive Jesus for the first time this month. Bless them and their families and keep them close to you and to Jesus all their lives.

St. Joseph you worked hard in your carpentry shop to provide for Jesus and Mary, intercede for those who desperately need work that they may find suitable and satisfying employment.  Dear Joseph protect our families.  And, as you were comforted by Jesus on your deathbed, comfort those who are approaching the end of their earthly life.

Heavenly Father through the prayers of your saints and martyrs whose feast days we celebrate this month grant us the gifts of prayer, humility, courage and perseverance . We ask this through Jesus Christ you Son Who live and reigns with you forever and ever. Amen
