Parish Prayer Ministry – December Prayer
Friday, November 24th 2017

‘A praying parish is a growing parish ; a growing parish is a praying parish .‘ Please join us in praying for the following intentions this month.

As Advent begins we ask You God our Father to help us celebrate the real meaning of this holy season by keeping the birthday of Christ our incarnate saviour uppermost in our minds.

As Jesus is the prince of peace, we pray that despite the political upheavals in these islands that all involved in public life will sincerely commit themselves to the preservation of peace and harmony.

That the elderly may find space to apply their faith, wisdom and experience towards the faith formation of the next generation.

We honour the Immaculate Virgin Mary mother of Jesus and our mother and, as we rejoice with her on her feast, we ask her protection for ourselves, our families and our country.  Mary conceived without sin pray for us all and especially for the people of this parish dedicated to you.

As we prepare to celebrate the Feast of The Holy Innocents we pray that all may recognise that the right to life underpins all other rights and that our country will commit to honouring and protecting the beauty and the gift of life at all stages.

We thank You Lord for this past year with all its ups and downs.  We ask the Holy Spirit to help us resolve to live our faith with more commitment day by day in the coming year.

Thank You for hearing our prayers. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary , Gloria.
