Parish Prayer Ministry – January Prayer
Monday, December 18th 2017

‘A praying parish is a growing parish ; a growing parish is a praying parish .‘ Please join us in praying for the following intentions this month.

That the Apostle Paul who once persecuted Christians may intercede with Jesus for the freedom of religion in Asia and that Christians everywhere be supported and comforted  spiritually and materially by the whole church.

That the Lord may hear our heartfelt prayers for the protection of life at all stages from conception to natural death; that our country be spared the evil of abortion and its consequences for the whole of society.

Through the intercession of all the saints of Ireland may the governments of these islands be successful in restoring political stability in Northern Ireland.  May the people of the Island of Ireland promote and foster respect for each other keeping in mind the common good and the future of our children.

Through the intercession of St. Joseph may the homeless, those without employment and those most in material need have priority and share fully in the benefits of the taxation fund established for the common good.

That Mary the Most Holy Mother of God may reveal her Son Jesus to us as she did to the Magi.  By our example, may we be a guiding light to others especially the young in our parish community.

Thank You for hearing our prayers. Amen.

Our Father, Hail Mary , Gloria.
